Exploring the streets of New York City is one of my favorite things to do. Looking for new discoveries or going to recommended ones, I never stop. This is not a traditional food blog. I don't focus on restaurant reviews, or cooking tips; but I find specific items that you absolutely must try. Whether it be a cranberry donut or the best cappuccino. The focus isn't on the usual, but the cheap, the best, and the hidden.

I am always looking for new places to go! Send me a tweet, or leave me a tip of your favorite place or find in the comments!

Jamba Juice Oatmeal. I came right out and said it. Now I know you’re thinking how is a Jamba Juice cheap, the best, or hidden at all. Let me tell you this; this oatmeal is simply one of the best things to grab on a chilly day, whether it be for breakfast, lunch, or snack. Not only are the health benefits amazing (steel-cut oats and made with soy milk), but it tastes like pie! The best two flavors are blueberry& blackberry, and the apple cinnamon. Everyday price is $2.95, with $1 specials periodically popping up.

Tip: ask for extra fruit sauce!

Tip: If you want to try the new berry cherry pecan flavor, keep in mind there is no fruit sauce, just some dried fruit and pecans on top.

Tip: You can customize your own flavor. For example, you can get an oatmeal with the apple topping, ask for brown sugar, and pecans. Go crazy.

Tip: Every Wednesday through 2/24/2010 go get your $1 oatmeal!
