Exploring the streets of New York City is one of my favorite things to do. Looking for new discoveries or going to recommended ones, I never stop. This is not a traditional food blog. I don't focus on restaurant reviews, or cooking tips; but I find specific items that you absolutely must try. Whether it be a cranberry donut or the best cappuccino. The focus isn't on the usual, but the cheap, the best, and the hidden.
I am always looking for new places to go! Send me a tweet, or leave me a tip of your favorite place or find in the comments!

Zabar’s. The name could be enough for most people to stop reading, because for a true New Yorker Zabar’s needs no introduction, let alone a review. Alas, for everyone else, here is one of Manhattan’s institutions. Zabar’s cafe next door to its main store has always been a favorite of mine. But there is something they do exceptionally well. The cappuccino. It is simply perfect. It is somehow different than all the other cappuccinos I’ve had. And I drink a lot of them. The flavor, the consistency of the coffee and foam, right down to the size of the cup. It is simply unique and my favorite in the city. The main and most important thing to know is get the small. They only have 2 sizes, and for some reason, the larger size just isn’t as good. Nowhere near as good in fact. So make your way up to that 1 train on 79th street, and order up a small cappuccino. Did I mention it’s $1.90? Yea, you owe me one.
A different kind of cappuccino, uptown.
Tip: Order the small. It comes in a Zabar’s cup which probably only excites me.
